1. Chat Rules
These rules apply to all forms of communication across ZeroPvP, including in-game chat, Discord, and other official channels.
- Do not be racist, bigoted, or homophobic.
- Harassment, targeting, or disrespect toward other users or staff will not be tolerated.
- Do not make inappropriate or disrespectful remarks about deceased individuals.
- Do not be toxic (e.g., insulting your opponent after every round).
- Any statements encouraging suicide, self-harm, or wishing serious harm upon another player are strictly prohibited. Jokes or casual references to suicide or self-harm are not allowed and may be punished depending on severity.
- Do not spam or flood public chats with excessive, repeated, or overly long messages.
- Creating or escalating unnecessary drama in public chats is not allowed.
- Posting or sharing inappropriate, harmful, or malicious content is strictly prohibited. This includes any NSFW material.
- Do not post any video links that are on other games/servers.
- Do not violate the privacy of others.
- Do not make false or harmful claims about any member of ZeroPvP without clear and valid evidence.
- Do not participate in real-world item selling.
- Advertising any external product, service, server, or community is not allowed. This includes sharing server IPs, Discord invites, or promotional links.
- Do not attempt to bypass the chat filter.
- Any form of threats is strictly prohibited. This includes (but is not limited to) doxing, DDoS threats, swatting, or similar behavior, even if intended as a joke.
- Do not directly message other players to advertise, promote, or invite them to external servers or communities.
2. Platform-Wide Rules
These rules apply across all ZeroPvP platforms, including in-game, Discord, tickets, and any other official communication channels.
- Do not lie to staff.
- Do not blackmail or attempt to extort players or staff.
- Do not evade punishments.
- Do not associate yourself with players who are evading bans or are blacklisted. This can get you banned/blacklisted in association.
- Creating, altering, or submitting falsified evidence against another user is strictly prohibited.
- Do not reopen tickets that have already been resolved. This includes reopening appeals after a final decision has been made on the same punishment.
- Do not impersonate staff members or other players.
- Do not attempt to encourage or pressure others into breaking rules.
- Respect staff decisions. Failure to comply with staff instructions may result in punishment.
3. Network Rules
These rules apply to gameplay across the ZeroPvP network.
- Do not use cheats or any banned modifications
- Cheating includes any method or modification that provides an unfair advantage, even if not explicitly listed.
- Do not use modifications that interfere with or manipulate how your client communicates with the server.
- Drag clicking is permitted on the server; however, players use this clicking method entirely at their own risk.
- The use of VPNs, ExitLag, or similar connection-routing services are not allowed. In certain cases we are able to provide exceptions, however you are not guaranteed an exception. For further information create a ticket in the Discord.
- Do not use any method to connect using unsupported game versions or bypass server version restrictions, including tools such as ViaFabric, ViaForge, or Multiconnect.
- Do not knowingly assist, cooperate with, or benefit from cheaters.
- Do not exploit bugs or unintended game mechanics.
- Loading in mass bots or intentionally causing server-side performance issues is not allowed.
- Players who intentionally disrupt gameplay or give themselves an unfair advantage over others may be punished at staff discretion, even if the behavior is not explicitly listed above.
- Account sharing is strictly prohibited. If you are caught doing this, all associated accounts may be subject to an ELO reset.
- Do not have an objectionable Minecraft name/skin.
- Do not create racist or offensive builds or signs.
- Do not constantly avoid or refuse to meaningfully engage in combat.
- Avoiding fights refers to intentionally refusing to engage in combat for extended periods by constantly running, hiding, or staying in hard-to-reach areas of the map in order to stall the game or avoid losing.
- While temporarily running to heal, reposition, or kite is allowed, repeatedly fleeing without attempting to re-engage, or camping in locations that make it unreasonable for others to fight you, will be considered a violation.
- Do not misuse /helpop, /request, or /report.
- These commands are intended only for legitimate assistance or reporting. Misuse will result in punishment.
- If your account is compromised, we will not restore any lost progress, including (but not limited to) ELO, stats, or other data.
- All purchases made through the ZeroPvP store are final. Any chargebacks will result in a blacklist from ZeroPvP until the issue is resolved. Purchases must be made using your own funds or with explicit permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Ranked Specific Rules
These rules apply specifically to ranked ELO gameplay.
- Exploiting the system for unfair advantages (including farming kills, stats, ELO, queue dodging, queue sniping, or manipulating matchmaking) is not permitted.
- This includes intentionally losing, throwing matches, or coordinating outcomes with other players.
- You may only compete in ranked on one account per season.
- Using alternate accounts to bypass matchmaking, rankings, or punishments is not allowed.
5. Modification Rules
Mods are used at your own risk. Use common sense when choosing modifications. If a mod provides any unfair advantage, it is not allowed. Claiming uncertainty is not a valid excuse.
Allowed Modifications
The following modifications are allowed:
- HUD mods that display information about your own player (e.g., Armor HUD, Potion HUD, Saturation HUD, Coordinates HUD, FPS, CPS, Direction HUD, Item Counter).
- Cosmetic mods (e.g., capes, crosshairs, block overlays, custom crosshairs, overlays, shaders, outlined ore resource packs) that do not provide a competitive advantage.
- Visual clarity mods (e.g., clear water, lava, powdered snow, Fullbright, Time Changer).
- Performance mods that improve FPS or client performance without affecting gameplay (e.g., OptiFine, Sodium, Lithium, Starlight, Iris, Krypton, FerriteCore).
- Texture packs that do not provide a competitive advantage.
- Replay Mod (for recording purposes only, without giving gameplay advantages).
- Modifying debounce time on your mouse.
Disallowed Modifications
The following modifications are not allowed:
- Mods that modify movement, reach, or typical PvP interactions.
- Mods that circumvent or bypass normal gameplay mechanics.
- Mods that automate gameplay or actions.
- Mods that create irregular behavior compared to a vanilla client, including: moving while in inventory, altered block placement behavior, hotbar priority manipulation.
- Mods that increase visibility of opponents or their position.
- Mods that provide or track information about opponents that is not normally available, including: armor durability, saturation, health indicators (client sided).
- Internal or external modifications that allow abnormal keybinding or double-binding (except standard mouse-required bindings).
- Internal or external modifications that negatively impact, simulate, or manipulate ping, latency, or connection.
6. Screensharing Rules
These rules apply to gameplay across the ZeroPvP network.
- Refusal to screenshare or to open certain applications will result in a ban.
- Closing Minecraft while frozen or disconnecting from the server will result in an immediate ban.
- You must join Discord within 3 minutes when requested by a staff member.
- We do not encourage playing on a custom OS; doing so is at your own risk, as it may have certain services disabled.
The following services must not be disabled
Disabling these services interferes with proper screensharing and will result in a ban.
Other disallowed actions
- Clearing Event Logs
- Clearing the USN Journal
- Modifying registry values (Regedit)
- Running any system cleaners during the current session
- Modifying or clearing the Recycle Bin before or during a screenshare, or after being frozen
- Restarting Explorer, Minecraft, or other applications before a screenshare
- Restarting important services after boot
- Modifying relevant files before a screenshare (deleting, renaming, replacing, etc.)
- Executing cheats during the current session
- Running any coding or scripting environment during the current session
- Using anti-scanner programs
- Running programs such as VeraCrypt or Windows BitLocker during boot
A quick way to re-enable required services is to run the following in Command Prompt as administrator. The two commands below re-enable prefetch logging and PowerShell script-block logging.
reg add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters" /v EnablePrefetcher /t REG_DWORD /d 3 /f
reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\PowerShell\ScriptBlockLogging" /v EnableScriptBlockLogging /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
Staff may act on behavior that clearly breaks the spirit of these rules even where it is not listed word for word. If you believe a punishment was issued in error, appeal through the Discord.
